Yeah, the issue with CD Keys isn't that they don't ever work, it's that there's a handful of issues with using them. First, because they resell keys it may be considered unethical (although technically not illegal... maybe). This may not be a big concern when you're purchasing something from a giant corporation like Sony but can have an impact keys from smaller publishers. Second, because they don't supply the keys themselves, if there's ever an issue (like it fails to work) there's no guarantee of a refund or restitution.

It's really a choice you have to make for yourself. It's not that CD Keys is scam or doesn't work out, but it's definitely a grey area in a lot of respects.

That ending was incredible.

As for the Giuliani thing, it's heavily edited and clearly not as unseemly and it's presented, but he still follows her into a private room, touches her often, and flirts with her constantly. Whatever he was doing with his hand down his pants is just the gravy on top. It's not a great look overall.

I mean the first Fire Emblem honestly kind of sucks.

From what I can tell they still haven't added movement range tiles to this version, so you'll still have to count how far units can move in your head. Probably still have to do battle calculations yourself too. That matters way more to me than save states.

Probably still have weapon ranks randomly level up too, and healers not being able to earn exp unless they're attacked... this might not be a great buy.

To be fair, even if they reused the DS translation it still couldn't have been easy to have inserted it into a 30 year old game. The text formatting looks great, particularly considering it was released during a time when game developers didn't give the tiniest consideration on how easy it would be to fit foreign languages into their text boxes, or even program it. $6 seems more than fair.

I mean, I used to be super lazy about it and never liked or followed anything, but then some of my friends made channels and I realized how extraordinarily difficult it is to get support. Jesus christ I forgot how events always bring out the most butt fucking stupid teammates out of the woodwork.

It doesn't matter if I can almost single-handedly take on the entire enemy team by myself when the people I'm given to work with can't do a single thing by themselves and I get absolutely no support or healing or everything falls apart when I die. The one time where I'd want to play a lot of games and get the event stuff is the same time when the games are the absolute worst quality

Okay, I tried co-op mode with a Joy Con in each hand and it's actually pretty playable that way, and fun. The only thing I can't do is move around during the Gliding segments, but you don't have to move around that much in co-op, and you don't lose health for missing those, so it's not a major issue.

Did anyone else instinctively use L, A and R for Donald, Sora and Goofy respectively? It feels weird to have three characters and three attack buttons laid out the same way, but make them all interchangeable as long as you press the right number of them.

That should definitely be an optional difficulty modifier in the full game.

Oddly enough, co-op is kind of fixes this, as you have to hit certain beats specifically on one side or the other. Honestly, you could even consider playing co-op by yourself as an extra difficulty mode. It almost seems designed to be manageable that way.

Yeah. But the marker itself confuses me. If you jump when you reach the marker, it'll be late and not on rhythm with the follow up attack. If you jump ahead of the marker (which you can do on the beat or not, they give you a lot of leeway, at least on the lower difficulties), and then attack on the beat it works fine. I think the marker is supposed to show when you need to attack, not when you need to jump, but that's super dumb. It makes it inconsistent with the jump marker used to avoid attacks.

In retrospect, after playing a little more, I think my issue with the jump prompt is that I'm jumping on the beat, when I should jump on the previous beat and attack on the beat I think the jump prompt is. Much easier to do on Proud when there's more hit markers to time it properly.

I think the jump arrows are a bit misleading though. It feels like it's better to jump before where they are. Although I might be losing points that way? I dunno.

The jump command is giving me the most trouble. I keep thinking the attack is supposed come a beat later.

Also, there's a clutter to the whole thing that makes it really hard to tell what you're supposed to be hitting and when thanks to the perspective. It's not a major problem on the lower difficulties, but I feel it on Proud. If I narrow my focus and only pay attention to the timing circles it's okay, but it kind of ruins the seamless nature of attacking enemies to the rhythm that way.

Funny story, I've never actually payed for Netflix ever.

I only get it when a series I like comes on, watch it for that, cancel it, and only come back like a year later. But despite the fact I re-open the same account each time, Netflix is all like "Oh, you're new? Here, have a free trial!"

Like, I'd pay for it if they'd let me, but they never do, and I don't want to keep the subscription.

I honestly don't feel like crewmates should really win by doing tasks. It should serve as a time limit to force impostors to make moves instead of idling about too much, but doesn't work very well as a victory condition itself. The game is a lot more fun when crewmates win by successfully identifying impostors. I've played in rooms where tasks are set very low to "balance" things and it doesn't work at all. It swings thing too much against impostors (not only making the time limit stricter, but making it harder to make kills, since long tasks provide those opportunities) and wins by task completions feel deflating and unsatisfying

I tried booting up some SMB for offline fun and realized very quickly fireballs bounce much differently in the original game than they do in 35.

I might be getting tired of this game. The past five times I've lost has been because I fell into a hole due to a wonky jump. I'm starting to really hate these awful jump physics.

Yeah, I can send a ton of stuff to a person, and see them die from it and not get the KO. I guessed if someone else ended getting the final blow, or if the person died themselves (despite my enemies causing the interference) it didn't count as a KO.

Makes KO numbers really useless imo.

Honestly I keep expecting to see a Palicoe (or a Prowler) as the MH rep. Mainly because a Hunter already appeared in Marvel vs. Capcom and I figured Smash would want to do something a little more unique and cartoony

Am I the only one who finds 1-4 way harder than the other castle levels? Like you just run straight through most of 2-4 as long as you have a flower, even the elevators are really easy to do. But that section in 1-4 with the lower-upper-lower fire bars is hell if a bunch of enemies are placed there even with a flower.

I didn't know there was a bonus for using no power ups. I always started as Fire Mario because it was cheap and you could immediately start of with 15 extra seconds grabbing the first power up.

It gets even worse if you use a Pro Controller on Steam. Games will tell you to press "A" when you actually need to press "B". There's an option to swap the inputs for Nintendo controllers, but that ends up causing other problems if you're playing a game where you really need them to be in a specific order to play comfortably. I can't stand it.

Man, none of it makes sense. It will never sync up. On Nintendo consoles "A" is confirm where the circle button would be, which makes switching back and forth between the consoles super confusing.

Boy, getting five castle levels in a row sure is fun. I'm not sure if I'm being sarcastic or not, since I did beat them all and take the game and it felt great.

I'm having a lot more fun with this now that I understand it better. And getting more variety in the stages. I wish the targeting was better though. None of the auto target suggestions are really helpful, and it's really hard to manually target while playing the game (I have a REAL problem forgetting that only the dpad controls Mario while manually targeting. My brain simply can't adjust). Still, it's really satisfying to see someone stuck as Small Mario and being like "I hope you'll like these half dozen Bowsers heading your way".

I'm not sure if it's just because I'm really familiar with SMB, or just the game design, but this is the easiest battle royale game I've ever played. I have a pretty solid win rate now. But in the end, I think I enjoy the random elements of playing through Mario levels than the battle royale aspect. It really makes me want a Super Mario Bros. roguelike now...
